What makes us different

The Barkers pet resort started three years ago out of a couple’s lifelong passion for dogs and the principle of genuine loving care for all pets. Our caring professional staff spoil your pet with attention and ensure that the dogs are supervised at all times. Our staff will get to know you and your pet by name and can take care of any type of special need or consideration.

Our custom-built facility utilizes home-style cleaning methods, which are more sanitary than other pet facilities…other pet resorts use a flowing drain and hose-down system which causes a lingering stink. Our circulated air filtration system is sanitized and deodorized by ultra-violet light, similar to the air cleaning systems used in hospitals.

While other dog boarding facilities simply use a fenced-in parking lot or backyard to house their animals, we have two large indoor play areas and a 4,000 square foot outdoor yard. The dogs love our custom-built doggie pool and socialize all day long by playing with toys, playground gear, our caring staff and with other dogs. We treat each dog as if it were our own, making sure that his or her day is never dull while at daycare.

We have the biggest boutique pet store in Fort Lauderdale, chock-full of everything you could want for your precious pooch. We have designer doggie beds, collars, sailor outfits, toys galore and much much more.  Our premium dog food selection is unmatched – we offer a wide assortment of treats and top-grade dog food brands not available anywhere else. We also sell raw, natural and holistic dog food that will bring out the very best in your dog, and are perfect for pets with dietary restrictions or digestive issues.

We are also home to adorable puppies looking for a loving home. Each one is lovingly and humanely housed in our full-view puppy showcase area, kept at optimal health and raised until picked up by a family in search of a new member. Click here to see the puppies we currently have available.

The Barkers Pet Resort facility is a 15,000 sq ft of state of the art pet resort, equipped with the latest in technology.24 hour surveillance cameras safeguards the entire building.

Fire sprinklers and alarm is linked to the police and fire department. There is a pet attendant during the night to supervise our guests and attend to all their needs.

Our Services Include:

• Dog Boarding: Spacious and elegant hotel suits, beautifully decorated and furnished with flat screen TVs, plush beds and bedding, and a variety of fun, safe toys and accessories. We also have a separate section for  t-cups, decorated and furnished to fit your little prince or princess with comfort and pampering.

• Cat Boarding: Our feline guest will enjoy boarding in their cat condo area, with designer custom build condos and a play area for fun. The cat condo area is totally separated from the dog areas.

• Daycare Services:Offering a spacious indoor and outdoor playground with a pool. Arrange for your pet to spend a day or more each week under the watchful supervision of trained professionals.

  Gourmet Menu: Especially prepared by our chef, your pooch or feline will dine like they are in a 5 star restaurant.

• Grooming Salon & Spa: Our knowledgeable and professional groomers will work with you to provide your pet

  with the best service and treatment from bath to haircut, ear cleaning, nail trims, therapeutic massage and much more.

• Training and Obedience: At the Barkers Pet Resort we offer training and obedience classes by professional trainers.

	Vaida Morali, Owner & Operator:Vaida is a dedicated pet lover. Her love and experience for animals will make everyone comfortable leaving their pets at Barkers. At pet owners request, Vaida prepares gourmet food for Barkers guest, and takeout is always available for sale. Vaida owns a 4 year old Great Dane, Bella and a Pomeranian named Bailey, along with 2 cats. She works closely with several pet rescue groups and foster pets until they find permanent loving homes. Vaida is always available to answer your questions, consult on pet nutrition and give personal attention to every client and guest.
	Accredited Dog Trainer: Meredith is always available to answer any questions you may have about your dog. She makes training classes fun and entertaining. Meredith leads the best training  program in Florida. See the dog training services we provide.
	Customer Service: Eddie provides exceptional customer service to all our guests. Eddie has been with The Barkers for years and is a favorite among pets and owners alike.
